Updated Guidelines for Indoor Activities – Adath Israel

Adath Israel’s current COVID policies have been updated based on the latest CDC updates and guidance and is subject to change if new information becomes available.

In keeping with the Jewish value of “u-shmartem et-nafshoteichem (you should guard your health, individually and collectively):

  • Adath Israel strongly recommends that all attendees be vaccinated, to lower effects and risks of COVID-19.

Separate guidelines for ECLC and Makom may be in place, but will be consistent with the overall goals.

Basic Infection Prevention Measures:

By attending services or events all attendees confirm that:

·       They do not currently have symptoms consistent with COVID or other viral illness including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath regardless of COVID test result.

·       They have not tested positive for COVID in the past 5 days

Masking for:

·       Persons testing positive for COVID greater than 5 but less than 10 days ago should mask when attending synagogue.

·       Persons who have, in the past 10 days, been in direct or close contact- (i.e. household) with someone positive for COVID.

Masking is optional for all other attendees:

·       Persons at high risk for illness or complications of COVID-19 or who live with or care for persons at high risk for severe illness should consider continued masking.

·       N95 or KN95 masks which are currently widely available provide the best protection for the wearer.
