JCHAI

JCHAI is a multi-faceted organization with cutting-edge inclusive, supportive vocational programs and living options that helps families throughout the community answer the question "what happens when children with disabilities grow up?"

JCHAI is still helping provide supports to clients through Zoom classes. You can contact stacylevitan@jchai.org or BethRosenwasser@jchai.org to set up intakes. The class calendar is varied and is 15 times a week.

JCHAI could use some help in providing services to people with disabilities in our community. Donations of supplies or equipment, including cloth masks -- especially those with elastic and not ties -- and food supplies. Donations to help us purchase meals for people in the program are also welcome.

The best way to contact JCHAI for donations would be to reach out to either Carmen LeVere at clevere@jchai.org, Dawn Levi at dlevi@jchai.org, or Beth Rosenwasser at bethrosenwasser@jchai.org. You can also call their main number at 610-922-2480.

jkidphilly, a program of Jewish Learning Venture, connects families raising young Jewish children to each other, resources, and happenings around the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community. jkidphilly includes: programs around the Greater Philadelphia area for holidays, mitzvah projects, playdates, mom’s nights out and more! Many of our programs are sensory-friendly to include children who need extra support, and resources for your family to use about holidays, Israel, Jewish values and more.

Donation Needs in the Community:  Federation Emergency Fund
"The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is committed to providing essential resources to the entire community during the international crisis caused by the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We are coordinating with all Jewish-affiliated organizations, schools, synagogues and agencies in the region to assess and address emerging needs.

Donate today to help us serve the most vulnerable among us. 100% of proceeds raised through the COVID-19 Emergency Fund will go directly towards the COVID-19 response efforts. The Jewish Federation will not take a fee to facilitate the distribution of dollars raised."

Mitzvah Food Pantry - Delivery Drivers Needed

Click the link below to fill out a brief form, and someone from the Jewish Federation will be in touch about exact dates/times/locations. Delivery shifts usually take under two hours and deliver to an average of 6 - 8 homes.

Deliveries are using a "knock/drop/go" model. It can be efficient to do this with a partner--one to drive and one to go to the door. Thank you for volunteering!

Phone a Friend with Federation
Are you able to volunteer to be a regular, dependable person to check-in several times a week with an older adult in the Philadelphia community who is isolated?  Please fill out the form linked below and the Federation will follow up with you.

KleinLife - Delivery Drivers Needed
KleinLife's Home Delivered Meals program is still operating and continues to be an essential need for our homebound seniors. Many of our daily participants who attended the congregant meal program are signing on for home delivery on top of their regular clients.  Every Tuesday during the crisis, we are asking for volunteers to help us deliver two week’s worth of meals to over 600 senior clients.  Your safety is just as important to us as our seniors. Procedural details can be found on their website. To volunteer, please contact John Eskate at jeskate@kleinlife.org.

(Note: If you are over 65, have any medical conditions, or have any symptoms, please don’t volunteer.)

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world, igniting a lifelong commitment to service.  We are creating a movement for the Jewish community to take action by contributing professional skills to nonprofits in need.
