Early Childhood Learning Center Jewish/Music Educator

We are looking for a Jewish/Music Early Childhood Educator with strong Jewish knowledge, background, and enthusiasm who has experience incorporating Jewish content throughout an early childhood curriculum and in music classes. This educator will be a positive Jewish role model and, most of all, is committed to authentically representing a rich Jewish identity, journey, values and life through music and holiday based special programming.

The Music/ Jewish Educator is responsible for providing and creating valuable opportunities in classes and school-wide programs for learning and personal development through music classes, Havdallah (Monday morning), Shabbat Services (Friday morning) and Special Programming for children 10 months through Kindergarten. S/he will serve as a resource to the faculty to incorporate Jewish content into their classrooms, and as a programmer for auxiliary programs such as Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Makom Religious School Fifth Grade Teacher & Trope and Prayers Teacher

We are looking for two vibrant teachers for our elementary school age classes: one who will teach fifth grade and one who will teach trope and prayers. Hours are Sundays from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Qualified applicants will have a Jewish background, a basic knowledge of the Hebrew language, and creative and fun ideas to make the learning process more effective and engaging. Most importantly, qualified applicants should be passionate about working with children and about educating the next generation of Jews to have a strong identity and a meaningful connection to their community and the Jewish people.
