AIPAC Parlor Meeting at the home of Mitchell & Penny Shore

Tuesday, January 14, 2020 17 Tevet 5780

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Yesh Li-D’og (“Should We Worry”)?

There is an old Jewish joke about the content of every Jewish telegram: “Start worrying. Details to come [STOP].” But in truth, even with elections coming in both the United States and Israel and prospects of instability in the region, there is also much to CELEBRATE about the US-Israel relationship.

Please join Rabbi Yanoff, Adath Israel, and AIPAC at a Parlor Meeting to hear more about our connection as American Jews to Israel in these fraught times.

7:00 PM, next Tuesday, January 14, 2020

The Home of Mitchell and Penny Shore in Bala Cynwyd

Please call Adath Israel at 610-934-1919 or email info@adathisrael.org to RSVP
(for you and a friend!) and to get the Shores’ address.

Please let us know you’re coming by this Friday (January 10)!

We will hear a timely briefing on the electoral, military and diplomatic instability in both our homelands, both here in the United States and in Israel, addressing the following questions

✡ Is Israel Bipartisanship Slipping? What can we do to keep this a consensus issue?

✡ Elections in Two Homelands – how does this affect the US-Israel bond?

✡ Events of the past few weeks (Soleimani assassination, presidential impeachment, prime-minister indictment) – how will this fraught environment affect the US-Israel relationship?

We have reached out specifically to you, because you have attended and supported Adath Israel’s advocacy for Israel and our partnership with AIPAC in recent years. But now we have a small request: Join us next Tuesday…. AND

BRING A FRIEND! – who may be interested in these topics, Israel advocacy, and even attending AIPAC’s Policy Conference this March 1-3, 2020 in Washington, D.C.

YES! Especially in an Israeli and US election year, on the planned date of the Israeli election, please join Rabbi Yanoff at the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington D.C., March 1-3, 2020. Part learning, part high-level briefings, part advocacy and lobbying our leaders on behalf of the Israel-US relationship, part pep rally, the Policy Conference is the largest, most bi-partisan gathering of pro-Israel advocates each year, and Adath Israel sends one of the largest Philly-area delegations! Attendees represent a rare community of bi-partisanship, as well as diverse backgrounds, religions and political leanings, and a wide range of outlooks and expertise about Israel. Everyone learns, and everyone celebrates our connection to Israel. As Rabbi Yanoff says, “It’s the best Israel experience outside of actually being in Israel.” Also, Rabbi Yanoff has a limited number of reduced-price registrations. Please contact Susan in the Adath Israel office at sneidich@adathisrael.org for more information on the reduced-price registrations.

RSVP today for next Tuesday, for you AND A FRIEND… and for Policy Conference! Hope to see you soon, as we seek to re-affirm the critical US-Israel Relationship, and our role as American Jews.
