Sisterhood
Sisterhood
Adath Israel's Sisterhood builds community and fosters meaningful connections amongst its members and the broader synagogue congregation. By engaging in dedicated Sisterhood activities and participating in synagogue-wide events, we hope to inspire our members to cultivate a Jewish household that enriches their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
Our anchors are a mid-year Sisterhood Shabbat and regular Rosh Chodesh gatherings, complemented by additional fall and spring events. These events give us the opportunity to celebrate ourselves and each other and to relish in our connection to other Jewish women. Additionally, we partner with the Men’s Club and our Early Childhood Learning Center’s families to create multi-generational events and build even more widespread engagement.
Our Sisterhood collaborates with the Women's League for Conservative Judaism to support the Torah Fund campaign. Benefactors support the future of Conservative Judaism and, each year, receive a pin or pendant featuring a design based on a new Jewish theme.
